Let’s not kid ourselves—we at Marie Claire tune in to Keeping Up With the Kardashians just a wee bit more frequently than we’d like to admit (or, erm, perhaps that’s just me). And it’s impossible to deny that the current reigning first family of reality TV has developed a strong influence in the fashion world, too—as anyone who witnessed last week’s hullabaloo at the Dash boutique opening can attest. So when news broke back in May that Kim was planned to add affordable jewelry to her already-successful collection for Bebe, our ears perked up. Yesterday, the fruits of Kim’s sparkle-loving labor were unveiled at the high street store’s Soho outpost, where the designer herself was on hand to sign autographs and mingle with 400-some Kardashian fans. The collection itself is packed with everything from mod Lucite and resin bangles to pyramid-studded rings and shoulder-dusting earrings meant to be worn solo. And since nothing’s priced above $100, you don’t need a TV personality’s bank account to get in on these festive finds. Kim Kardashian for Bebe is currently available at Bebe stores nationwide—and starting tomorrow, you can snap up the designs on bebe.com too. |
