Wonder Woman is swooping in to save you from plain Jane beauty fate.
DC Comics' most iconic heroine of all time is teaming up with MAC Cosmetics for a Spring 2011 makeup collection inspired by Wonder Woman's blue, red and gold bustier leotard, her cunning super power-meets-glamazon charms, and a strong punch of what the beauty brand is calling her "kick-sass" girl power.
You'll get more pretty for your penny with this collection, as must-haves like the berry-toned lipglasses, metallic shimmer pigment powders and mineralize skinfinish compacts will all come in oversized packaging meant to mimic the larger-than-life heroine's taste for all things big.
(Ad visuals show our favorite lady's bustline and raven locks aren't left out of that Texas-like bigger-is-better equation. Take that, She-Ra!)
Metallic makeup pouches and clever "tool belts" come equipped with limited-edition blue short-handled makeup brushes, because you'll need to powder your nose and touch up that sexy eyeliner smudge in between your bad guy slaying kicks and inter-galactic battles.

With clever names like "Lady Justice," "Insurmountable," "Bold Babe," and "Deep Truth," we're obsessing over the sleek eye quad palettes that feature pearlized highlighters and deep plums, metal blues and gun grays that will make for the perfect "kick-sass" smoky eye.
Other highlights include super-sized colored mascaras, trademark red and blue nail lacquers, and adorable lipstick bullets hugged in corset-like gold with a red star emblem, that come in vixen shades of red, grape and fleshy nude pink.
Can you say fun?
The inspiration behind the creative partnership came from a distinct type of feminine energy that experts say you'll see more of come springtime.
"For spring, we have seen that one of the biggest outstanding trends is a very early, fresh '70's look. Think a shampoo commercial from 1972, or a Cheryl Tiegs or Farrah Fawcett type of girl," says Gordon Espinet, vice president of global makeup artistry for MAC Worldwide.
The collection will be on MAC counters February 10 through mid-April, with prices ranging from $14 for Nail Lacquer to $21 for Pigment powder and $35 for Mineralize Skinfinish.

As to how to pull off the bright bursts of color in the collection, Espinet advises that you focus on one feature.
"I love a rich lip, and an easy-to-wear technique is to concentrate the color near the center of your lips and fade as you get nearer to your lip line. That way, you avoid a heavy outline and create a bright lip that's still kissable, not threatening," says Espinet.
Powerful, kissable, yet non-threatening? Rock on, Super Woman -- and we can't wait to come play, too.
