Retro Fab!

>> Wide-leg jeans are a major Spring trend, and this street-snapped sophisticate — Vogue.fr's fashion editor Jennifer Neyt — worked out her white pair with a chambray shirt, long black blazer, skinny belt, and suave sunnies. In a nutshell, we love her retro cool vibe. Get a similar look with our picks from Gap, Alexander Wang, Calvin Klein, and Urban Outfitters.

How to do Punk !

As it turns out, punk never dies. Powerhouse brands such as Burberry Prorsum, Balenciaga, and Balmain have resurrected the tough 80s-iconic trend of silver chains, tight tapered pants, and leopard print. Here’s what you should consider the next time you’re in a Ramones sort of mood:

Longevity: Punk emerged in the 1980s, but it’s had a lasting influence on what we wear today. So while spiked mohawks and pierced lips might be more hardcore to some, studded boots and moto jackets are classic, easy ways to add edge to your style.

Wearability: Vinyl and short leather skirts aren’t for the faint-hearted. At first glance, some of these looks can be difficult to pull off, and require a healthy serving of attitude. But everyone can add a dash of punk to their life by wearing beaten-up All-Stars, plaid fabrics, or band logo T-shirts. If all else fails, heavy black eyeliner proves to be a reliable choice for the prep-turned-rockstar (just don’t follow Taylor Momsen’s example).

Personality: Punk culture is all about individuality and putting an outfit together yourself. Before it translated to the runway, this style developed roots on the street. Young trendsetters were bold enough to create and adapt their own clothing, adding rips, swipes of neon paint, and safety pins to plain, store-bought items.

Save vs. Splurge?: Save. When a trend is infamous for using garbage bags as a dress, definitely save. However, consider spending a bit more when it comes to quality materials like leather.

Is it worth the investment?

The Piece: Alexander McQueen Clutch
The Investment: $1,495
Why We Covet: It's badass. I mean, really badass. The green leather clutch, perfect for black-tie and red-carpet events, has that surprise kick of being covered in gold studs and a gold skull that's been encrusted with Swarovski crystals. It's unusual, attention-getting, cool, but beautiful. And in 20 years your kid will be rifling through your closet and say, "Hey, Mom, that clutch is way too cool for you. Can I have it?" To which you, obviously, say no.

Rachel Zoe

Rachel Zoe proudly bared her baby bump for a special issue of The Hollywood Reporter. She was so happy with the article that she tweeted, "pinch me — such a beautiful piece!" The superstar stylist, who's expecting a son with her husband Rodger Berman, has been busy prepping for their new arrival with a star-studded baby shower and a stint shopping for his room. However, she's busy as always and just came off a well-regarded job dressing Anne Hathaway at the Oscars. Rachel spoke to the publication about her happiness with her select client list, loving this time in her life but still prepping for the future, and even weighed in on John Galliano's public meltdown and firing. She said:

•On the current time in her life: "I can say in all honesty that being pregnant, working with the kind of people I work with and being this businesswoman has been a really wonderful, drama-free time in my life."
•On why she went to LA: "To merge the worlds of Hollywood and fashion . . . Because I felt that there was this huge disconnect. I didn’t understand why the most glamorous place in the world wasn’t using the most glamorous clothes . . . Ten years ago, you couldn’t find a fashion photographer or couture anywhere around here. Coming out, I was fascinated by the red carpet and Old Hollywood in particular, so I was like, ‘You’ve gotta mix things up. You need to give some edge, some glamour, take some chances.'"
•On John Galliano's comments and firing: "It’s a little insane and super-sad. Anti-Semitism, racism or any prejudice is not something I tolerate. I’ve fired clients because they were anti-Semitic, or anti-everything, except what they were. . . I’ve known John Galliano and his boyfriend for years. I don’t know enough about it to make a clear statement, but if it’s true, it’s tragic."
•On her family's future: "I have this visual of me and Rodg living in this amazing house that’s not too big in the south of France, where we go for four months and just sit on the beach and make jewelry. Not to sell, just for fun and therapy. Like literally, take rocks and shells and glue them."
